Pixie's custom audio engine plays most common music and audiobook formats directly on iPhone and iPad. Playback details show the source format, processing, and output.

Pixie equalizer and live output meters on iPhone

Play lossless files directly: Stream supported lossless files without an extra lossy conversion. You can choose a smaller Plex stream to save cellular data.
Adjust the sound as it plays: Tune EQ and levels while you listen, with compressor, limiter, and dynamic EQ controls available too.
On-device audio analysis: Waveforms and loudness measurements come from decoded audio, before EQ or effects. Volume normalization uses those measurements to reduce jumps between tracks.
A sound profile for each output: Sound Profiles can switch automatically when you change headphones or speakers. Your custom profiles sync privately through iCloud on supported devices.
