Use Pixie in CarPlay
Connect your iPhone to CarPlay and open Pixie on the car display. Browse Home, Library, and Downloads, then use Now Playing for playback and the queue.
Open More for actions such as Radio and Guest DJ. The options depend on your library and selected player.
Play audio with Siri
Name an item in your selected library and add “in Pixie” if needed. Choose a match if Siri offers several.
- “Play the album [album] by [artist] in Pixie.”
- “Shuffle [album or playlist] in Pixie.”
- “Play [song] next in Pixie.”
Create a playback shortcut
- Open Apple’s Shortcuts app and create a shortcut.
- Find Pixie’s actions, such as Play Media, Control Playback, Seek Playback, Playback Speed, or Playback Mode.
- Fill in the action’s options, save the shortcut, and run it with Pixie connected to your library.
Library and sound shortcuts
On iPhone and iPad, Pixie also offers Radio & Downloads, ratings, and Sound Profile actions. Open Settings → Siri & Shortcuts for examples and setup instructions.
Unlock Settings before running a Sound Profile shortcut. Playback shortcuts work while Settings is locked.
Add a widget
Add a Pixie widget from the system widget picker. Each widget opens a screen in Pixie.
